SiMoN grew up in Bamberg, a town in the north of Bavaria. In 2004 he made his first steps as a greenhorn in filmmaking with a 60 minutes music documentary about provincial german Hip Hop culture from the 90s to the early 2000s. That experience led to him to taking up a couple of trainee opportunities in camera departments on movie sets.
A year later, at the end of 2006, he started working as a 2nd AC.
For over 10 years he has worked as an Assistant Camera (4 years 2nd AC, 7 years Focus Puller / 1st AC) for local and international film productions all over the world.
